The Buildcraft quarry doesn't support areas larger than 64x64. Quarry+ adds a block called Quarry+ which can support up to 256x256. If you have Extra-utilities installed then use the Ender Quarry, it can support an unlimited* (read stupidly large) area.
I have a quarry block which when you activate with redstone, mines the blocks beneath it in a 6x6x6 area. I want it to mine to have a small delay between each block being broken. I'm guessing I need to change the procedure to be on block update tick, if indirect redstone =/= 0, and create a timer variable which goes up every tick. How big does a quarry have to be in Minecraft? It just creates the black/yellow lines (quarry boundaries) in the normal size and ignores the landmarks. Am I missing something? The landmarks must be on the same Y coordinate level as eachother. Also, I believe the maximum size of a quarry is 63 by 63 blocks so make sure you're in that range.

level 1. Op · 4y · edited 4y. We made a fast vanilla minecraft quarry which is expandable in size. We can run a 720 wide version on our server without lag issues. It would yield about 160,000 items per hour, including about 800 iron ore per hour. You can find a more detailed explanation here.
At max quarry size (mining out 62x62 blocks) I timed it up and back, up and back, or 4 rows of blocks at 38 seconds, 4x62 or 248/38 = about 6.526 blocks per second, faster than I can sprint. This was with the Energy Bridge taking in IC2 HV Consumer from a stack of MFSUs.
