Jason is right the trash pumps are heavy and most will not run more than a 2 inch nozzle.I use one it runs the 2 inch suction nozzle well but on the 2.5 nozzle lots of hose plugs not enough pressure with those pumps.You will need pressure hose to run the nozzle layflat just plain sucks to use.Look on craigslist and ebay for a nozzle I bought mine new for around $110.00.From Gold Rush …

Pre Owned 2" Gold Dredge powerjet. Used powerjet. It's Around 14.5" long with 1.5" jet log. This powerjet creates more suction pressure then a suction nozzle in my opinion. This powerjet is pictured attatched to a jet flare i use to manufacture years ago.
In any dredge, you will have 2 types of suction devices; either a suction nozzle or a power jet. A suction nozzle only works with higher pressure pumps. The recommendation is a minimum of 140-foot head lift for a suction nozzle. A power jet can run at a slightly lower head lift at a 130 foot, however it does require higher volumes.
